Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics

The B.A. program features a strong preparation in mathematics with an opportunity to explore another field in some depth. It is strongly recommended that students pursuing the B.A. degree choose a minor as well. Candidates in this program must take 4 semester hours of computer science (CSCI 201); 31 semester hours of core mathematics: MATH 131, MATH 132, MATH 206, MATH 231, MATH 234, MATH 240, MATH 303, MATH 470, MATH 492; 3 semester hours of statistics: STAT 361; and 6 semester hours of approved mathematics electives.
